LEAVING HOME

So the next big event in the white life.

Amber and Simon Left to go back to America, of course taking Asher and Maddie with them, We helped them sell all their stuff that they couldn’t take with them, it was so sad, then came the 10th March the day for departure, we took 2 cars to Heathrow Airport with all the baggage and everyone in, we didn’t have time for long goodbyes we saw them through as far as we could go, waving until we could see them no more!!!

I held it all together no tears, Brian drove Simons car and I drove our home, We went straight to their house as soon as I got in the tears came, it was a home no more to my wonderful kids,

The next few weeks were busy following Ambers to do list!! (Very good lists) we packed the rest of the house up and the movers came in and took the rest of the items to ship out to them.
Then came the sad day of handing the keys to the person who had brought the house from them, so now it was final.
Amber and Simon headed for salt lake to Ambers mums, they stayed and visited with her for a couple of weeks, then Simon got a job in Arizona, so they went and stayed with Ambers sister (Robin and family) just for a week or so, they are now living in a holiday home on a private golf course (they got a good deal as it is out of season as its too hot there!!!!) We wish!!! They are now waiting to confirm the purchase of a new home that they can all settle in, (we hope to visit soon)

We miss our babies very much but see them regularly on Skype, Maddie is growing fast and now has lots of hair, Asher is now talking more and getting up to more mischief, he now has a little boys’ hair cut and seems to have grown up fast.

This was new year 2010, with our darling madie, poor girl she wondered what was going on!!!

Well this is my first blog

Starting this year from New Years day.

We were privileged to spend the day with our family; Libby, Alastair, Evie, Simon, Amber, Asher, Madie, Brian and myself. We had a lovely family new years dinner, then after dinner we took turns entertaining each other. Alastair told a scotch poem, Libby and Amber who have beautiful voices each sang a song, it was great. Simon played a game that I ended up getting covered in water. Brian and I then made our exit from the room. We had in our bedroom 2 costumes, one a tiger and one a bear so we dressed up in them and entered the living room. Simon and Libby nearly choked with laughter, Evie and Asher just stared not sure what to do. Madie just looked on wondering. We all had a good time and the Kids loved it (so did we). Later we went visiting!! Yes you've guessed, in our costumes. 1st to pete and tracys, we just knocked the door and they answered it to 2 animals. They invited us in and called the children. Oliver and Ava didn't recognise us so kept their distance for a while. Torin, however, came into the room saying hello like it was a normal thing to see to giant animal in your living room. When Pete asked him who he thought it was he said "Brian cos he always sits in that chair."(so Brian you obviously spend too much time at Petes in that chair!!!). So we had fun there.

Then on to Donna (my youngest sister) and her family.

We went on to Donnas’ house knocked on the door and George answered and I said "we have come to visit we have just been let out the zoo" he ran up the hall way leaving us to enter!! he didn’t know who we were, he ran up stairs calling to his mum, as he came running down he realized it was us, so he shouted to her,
"Pam and Brian are here dressed as animals" so she came running down the stairs, Russell George and Katie loved us and soon were trying on the costumes.

It just shows how if you do something unusual it can bring joy to many.

We had lots of fun that day and it will be a day to remember.
